Walker’s 7 Month Recap
Gosh, where is the time going? I know I say this a lot, but time is truly flying by. I mean the days are sometimes long, but the months just seem to go in a blink of an eye. Walker has changed so much this past month and is seeming more and more like a toddler versus a newborn (I know we are in the baby stage for a few more months luckily). Lets chat about the amazingness of sleep. Walker has *KNOCK ON ALL THE WOOD* started to sleep so much better at night. He wakes up once or twice, rather than 3 or 4 times as he did a month ago. He is still too excited for life to take good naps, but I will take what I can get. He generally naps between 10-10:45 and then goes down for a nap around 2 which sometimes only lasts 30 minutes and other days can be over an hour. He still naps in our bed, which I have totally accepted and am enjoying the limited time that he will love to cuddle while I can. Walker is so full of life. He is constantly in motion and wanting to be surrounded by people at all times. He is completely content as long as he can see someone and knows that he is not alone. Walker is such a happy baby and rarely fusses unless he is extra tired, hungry or alone. It is funny to say that he is more challenging than Reid was at this age, because the only big difference is that Walker needs to be around people. He loves being held or played with and since I have two kids, it is hard to give Walker all the attention—so I joke that why he doesn’t nap is because he wants one on one time.Walker is on the move. It is crazy to think that as of yesterday (so 7 months and 2 days), Walker started to crawl. And I mean really crawl. Before he was scooting his way around the room, now it is knees up and arms moving forward. It is such a joy to watch him develop physically, and I know I’m going to have my hands filled with two moving boys. My hope for my sweet, sweet boy is that he will continue to let his beautiful, social personality shine. He is such a joy and always has a smile on his face. While he may be a tad needy some of the time, his love for community is ever present. I am looking forward to seeing him grow and develop over this next month–just hoping I can keep up with him. And by the way…no, we are not cutting his hair (frankly, as long as it isn’t in his way, we will let it grow until his first birthday!) We love you baby boy.
