Easy DIY Holiday Gift Idea for Neighbors: White Chocolate Covered Pretzels
For years, I have been baking cookies and treats for neighbors. It is a simple and sweet way to thank people who live near you for being welcoming and friendly neighbors. It’s the little things that bring smiles to people’s faces this time of year and I love being a small part of that.
Some years, I go all out and bake 5 different types of cookies, but this year I kept it very simple and made delicious no bake white chocolate pretzels. The boys helped me by adding holiday sprinkles to the pretzels. It was such a fun and easy activity that turned out amazing!
Supplies:
- Holiday shaped pretzels (these usually sell out fast so snag them as soon as you see them, I got ours in October!)
- Vanilla candy coating squares or wafers (white chocolate)
- Holiday Sprinkles
How to create delicious Holiday Pretzels:
- Melt the white chocolate according to the package. Some white chocolate comes in a tray which makes it super easy. If you have wafers, simply put some in large Pyrex and heat up until almost melted.
- Toss or dip the pretzels in the chocolate to make sure they get a good coat.
- Transfer pretzels to wax paper.
- **Very important**Put sprinkles on BEFORE the chocolate sets up. This is where kids are a huge help. My boys were very fast and eager to put on sprinkles.
- Let cool for a couple of hours before transferring.
Set up for cute gifts:
- They look super cute stacked in ball jars with small pieces of holiday fabric in between the lid and the screw top.
- Put a name tag on it and you are done!
What are your favorite holiday treats to make? What is your go to gift for neighbors?
Hope everyone has a healthy and joyful holiday!!
