Life Lately: Moving to Atlanta, Georgia
A new year, a new website and a new location! It has been a crazy start of 2017, but I am looking forward to all the exciting new things to come. After months of debate, Drew took a promotion and we relocated to the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia at the beginning of the new year! It was a whirlwind of a couple months–buying and selling homes is not for the weak (I have taken a hiatus from watching HGTV because I seriously cannot look at anymore homes for a long while!). Luckily, we sold our home in Greenville, South Carolina in under a week and found a beautiful home in Atlanta…

Life Lately: New Niece, Best Friend’s Baby, Trip to Maryland, Clemson Football Games
My life lately has been a busy one :). My sister and BIL welcomed my niece, Harper Ann, into the world on September 7th! I could not be more excited and happy for them. Of course, I could NOT wait to meet the little lady so Reid and I took a flight out that Sunday morning to see the happy family of 4! We stayed in Maryland for a few days and had lots of quality time with my family. I cannot express how much love our family has for Harper–and now much more shopping to do (I know I have a boy, but girl clothes are just so stinking…

First Night Out without Baby
This weekend we celebrated Reid’s half birthday and had our first night away from our baby boy. Drew and I went to Atlanta for our college friends’ wedding. It was the perfect time and opportunity to have a night away. Since the wedding was only 2 hours away, I felt comfortable leaving Reid with his grandparents knowing that I could be home if I needed to (they were great sports about my 2 page instructions!). We took advantage of the time away–we went to Gypsy Kitchen prior to the ceremony for a drink with a few of my sorority sisters, following the reception at the Piedmont Driving Club we went…

Flying with Baby: Reid’s First Trip to Minnesota and Weekend at the Lake
What a manic Monday… Reid and I have had a whirlwind of a week. On Monday we flew to Minnesota to visit my Nana. I was super nervous as I was flying alone with a 4 month old (meeting my mom in Minneapolis), but Reid was a great flier and people were so sweet and helpful along the trip–it really does take a village! I would say that the travel was smooth sailing, BUT I was flying Southwest and my flights on the way out got delayed by almost 24 hours! (stuck in the Atlanta airport until 1:30 a.m. when I was supposed to fly out at 9 a.m.) and…

Random Thoughts of the Day
Today I am linking up with Amanda for Thinking Out Loud. Four Random thoughts of the day: 1. Last night I watched Fed Up, a documentary about the growing obesity epidemic in America. I enjoy learning different statistics and hearing different sides of debates. The documentary explained that the food and beverage industry plays a huge role (they argue the entire role) in obesity among US children. The documentary highlighted the fact that just because you exercise and move, does not mean that you will lose weight and won’t become obese. They also explained that one calorie in doesn’t equal one calorie out–calories are not created equal. The most interesting…

Asheville Bachelorette Party Weekend
Wow this weekend was a fun one! After months and months of preparation, Paige’s Bachelorette party in Asheville, North Carolina went off without a hitch (or at least not a major one!). Paige has been my best friend since we were both 2 years old–this fourth of July marks our 25th anniversary–and deserved the best last fling before the ring. We got up to the rental home (VRBO.com rental) around 2 on Friday afternoon. Laura, Holly and I arrived before the rest of the gang around 2 on Friday afternoon. As we had 13 girls, we rented a big home from VRBO.com that could accommodate all of us. It was…

One Year Anniversary Trip to Hilton Head Island and Savannah
Last weekend was a great one! Drew and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary in Hilton Head and Savannah. It is so hard to believe that it was over a year ago that we got married! I would be lying if I said that our first year was completely smooth sailing, but I can say that we learned a lot about each other and together we got through some challenging times that definitely brought us closer together. I could not be happier than to be Drew’s wife and I am so blessed that I found such an amazing man who understands me and even when he doesn’t will put up…
