Good morning! Happy Monday 🙂

We had quite the eventful weekend.  Originally, we were planning to take a trip to North Carolina and then go pumpkin picking after church but our plans changed a little.  Our good friends ended up coming to stay with us from Wednesday evening until Sunday morning because of Hurricane Matthew.  We were more than happy to welcome them to higher and safer ground! We ended up having a very fun weekend and Reid loved playing with his best friend, Watson.

On Friday, we all went to Clemson to enjoy some wings and beer before the Clemson game.  Clemson was a wonderful way to brighten the dreary day. We got home in time to put the boys to bed and watch Clemson beat Boston College!

Saturday morning, I ran a nice (and solo) 4 miles before heading out for the day.  We travelled up north to Traveler’s Rest to enjoy some pizza at Sidewall before going to Sky Top to pick apples.  We LOVED going apple picking.  Sky Top was packed with families picking apples, enjoying apple fritters, drinking cider and children playing with farm animals.  I was very impressed with the large fields of trees and the entire production.

We picked 9 lbs of delicious apples and have already enjoyed many of them.  Before heading home, we went back to TR to have a beer on the Swamp Rabbit Brewery’s back porch.  It was a great ending of a wonderful day!  Sunday was filled with chores and enjoying the cool fall weather with the family 🙂
